App Launch at DEF2022
Unable to make the annual event in San Francisco this year? You're in luck!
We launched the App to the lucky crew of attendees at the Marines Memorial Hotel on 5 October 2022, with further discussion and review over the ensuing couple of days alongside incredible speakers from across the DEF community.
By all accounts, we're on the right track and people are excited (in fact, Steve Blank apparently thinks it's "genius," so that's a good sign!)
Trish Martinelli, DEF's Executive Director, discussed the project with Ryan Connell, the Community lead, showcasing how it can help local individuals and communities come together around their local innovation ecosystem as well as the efforts.
Stay tuned for more updates!

Hello, World!
Welcome to the Project on Innovation in National Security!
First, yes, the name needs some work, and no, we don't have any better ideas right now, so there you have it. Feel free and send any recommendations for something more inspiring to hello@def.org - we're all ears! 👂
As noted in the Docs, this project has a few different goals:
Increase understanding of the national security innovation ecosystem.
Improve data literacy of national security stakeholders, especially government employees, in order to support further innovation.
Support a learning mindset and opportunities to experiment by integrating a variety of frameworks for building and questioning.
More to follow over the coming months and years (we see this as probably a 3-5 year project, depending on interest and what sticks) - thanks for showing up!
